INTRODUCTION
The Blue in Green spirit
BiG Trio brings the legendary organ trio format — organ, guitar and drums — to life through an instrumental repertoire where jazz meets soul-jazz, groove and funk.
A warm, direct sound inspired by the atmosphere of jazz clubs and records from the 1960s: the guitar converses with the organ, the drums set the music in motion, while improvisation and interaction remain at the heart of the trio.
The aim is elegant, vibrant and immediately accessible music, equally at home in a dedicated listening venue or in a restaurant, hotel or event setting.

Christophe Rivalland
Christophe RIVALLAND discovered the saxophone at a very young age before turning to the Hammond organ as a teenager, exploring the instrument as a self-taught musician.
For more than fifty years, he has developed a sincere and personal approach to jazz, guided by freedom and playfulness while remaining deeply connected to the music's tradition and authenticity.
At the organ, he seeks above all a lively, spontaneous form of expression, leaving ample room for improvisation, colour and the surprises of the moment.
Flavien Casset
Flavien CASSET has shaped a musical journey marked by travel, encounters and a constant curiosity for very different worlds, from blues to jazz.
His guitar playing places phrasing and melody at its core, in the tradition of musicians such as George Benson, Grant Green, Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino. He has a particular affinity with the organ trio tradition, while also embracing more modern influences ranging from John Scofield and Robben Ford to Frank Gambale and Frank Zappa.
An improviser first and foremost, he strives for an expressive, direct and personal style, which he occasionally extends through singing. He is also a respected, qualified educator who teaches jazz and guitar in the La Rochelle area.
Richard Frequelin
A drummer for many years, Richard FREQUELIN has developed a style that blends swing, groove and musicality.
His sensitivity and attentive listening allow him to place interaction and musical rapport with the other players at the forefront.
Influenced by jazz, funk and contemporary music, his playing is energetic, nuanced and driven by improvisation. He performs with the trio as well as in a variety of other musical projects.
